Urban Tree Canopy

How much of NKY is covered by trees from a bird's eye view? Why does this even matter? NKUCFC received a grant from Kentucky Division of Forestry to assess these questions! In 2014, we took a look at our existing canopy and its impacts in Boone, Campbell, and Kenton Counties. We also took a special look at Newport, Covington, and the Gunpowder Creek Watershed.
